With a record high of about 10,000 overseas participants from over 120 countries, CIFIT has developed into a more important international event with Turkey and Caribbean countries being highlights this year.

Sunday marked the opening of the Special Day for Turkey's Exhibit ion Hall at the CIFIT. Liwent, vice President of the Turkish Investment Support and Promotion Agency, or TISPA, came early to the hall. He said that although this is his first visit here, he is confident of closing deals for their 60-plus projects. According to Kursad Tuzman, Turkish Minister of State, over 350 Chinese businesses have been investing in Turkey and he expected to see more investment from China and other countries.

Kursad Tuzman said,"It's my first time to participate in CIFIT and I'm deeply impressed. The CIFIT has been a great investment opportunity, attracting senior government officials and business people from 120 countries. All of them have exchanged useful information through this event."

Besides, the CIFIT has also attracted more than 260 high-ranking government officials from thirteen Caribbean countries, executives of trade and investment promotion agencies, entrepreneurs as well as representatives from relevant regional organizations.

The Chinese government has expressed their willingness to provide domestic investors with preferential loans of 4 billions yuan in the next three years so as to encourage them to invest in the Caribbean region and to promote cooperation in sectors like finance, agriculture and tourism. Mia Mottley, Deputy Prime Minister of Barbados, said that the governmental aids from China are mutually-beneficial and that Barbados-China cooperation has brought real benefits to them.
